Expert Financial Leadership Without the Full-Time Cost

Matthew founded Shine FinOps after years of managing complex financial operations for family offices and businesses. With a B.S. in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and experience as both a FINOP (Series 27) and finance manager, he's built financial infrastructure for organizations ranging from UHNW families to growth-stage companies.

What sets Shine FinOps apart? We're not accountants who dabbled in strategy—we're finance operators who've built budgets, managed investor relations, overseen acquisitions, and made the tough capital allocation decisions alongside CEOs. We understand both the numbers and the business.

Our approach:

We don't just deliver reports—we translate data into decisions. Monthly meetings focus on what matters: growth levers, cash position, and strategic opportunities. You get the insights of a seasoned CFO with the flexibility and cost-efficiency of a fractional arrangement.

We work with:

  • Profitable companies $3-20M revenue ready to scale

  • Venture-backed startups needing investor-grade reporting

  • PE-backed companies between acquisitions

  • Family-owned businesses professionalizing operations

  • Companies preparing for fundraising or exit

Our Values Guide Every Engagement:

At Shine FinOps, LLC, our core values guide every financial solution we deliver for small to mid-sized family offices and businesses. These principles ensure precision, trust, and exceptional outcomes in every client interaction, empowering you to achieve your financial goals with confidence.
